House passes health reform bill

The House of Representatives voted 219-212 to pass the Senate health reform legislation on Sunday. None of the Republican lawmakers voted in favor of the bill, which includes a total of $108 billion in new industry fees for insurers, drugmakers and medical-device companies for 10 years. The new package also would impose a 2.9% excise tax on medical-device manufacturers.
