L.L.Bean aims to revamp image with new apparel line

L.L.Bean is almost a century old, but it's banking on its new Signature line and e-commerce efforts to make it look younger. Signature styles include updated versions of classic pieces, such as shirtdresses and belted jackets for women and Oxford shirts and chinos for men. Creative Director Alex Carleton, a former designer for Polo Ralph Lauren and Abercrombie & Fitch, heads the effort.
