Math, science teaching in Kentucky district to benefit from grant

Jefferson County Public Schools in Kentucky will hire resource teachers at up to 25 schools to help teach math and science, thanks to a $10.5 million grant from the General Electric Foundation. The teachers will work four days a week, instructing other teachers as well as students. Current teachers will also receive training and professional development under the grant.
