ONC to investigate consumer views about HIE

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT will survey consumers nationwide to shed light on "individuals' attitudes toward health-information exchange and the extent to which they are interested in determining by whom and how their health information is shared," the agency said in a notice. ONC aims to gather some 25,000 responses in two months and craft programs and policies based on the data.
