Xolair helps children overcome milk allergy in a study

Children with severe milk allergy who received a desensitization regimen that included Roche Holding and Novartis' injectable asthma drug Xolair during a study experienced a gradual increase in tolerance to milk, researchers said at an American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology meeting. Larger studies should be done to validate the finding before clinicians prescribe Xolair to children with a food allergy, the study's lead author said.
