Ga. district cuts costs by purchasing older version of iPad

A Georgia school district will use federal Title I funds to purchase 30 Apple iPad 2 tablets. Officials say they saved about $3,600 by waiting for the release of the new iPad and purchasing the older versions for $22,618. "We said, 'Now that you have the new one, are you going to give us a break in the price?'" Superintendent Dr. Emily Lembeck explained.
