Ky. educators report gains after iPad adoption

Student engagement has increased since a Kentucky elementary school adopted a one-to-one iPad tablet computer program, educators there say. Principal Cheri Smith said the devices, which allow students to submit answers anonymously, also have helped increase their confidence and teach them about responsibility. "Technology doesn't increase achievement, but technology increases engagement and engagement in turn increases achievement," said teacher Jonathan Stovall.
