Microelectromechanical systems sensors could soon be a major player in the medical industry, according to a panel of medical professionals at the MEMS Congress in Europe, which said the sensors could increase the accuracy and reliability of insulin pumps. The sensors also have the potential to be used to diagnose Parkinson's disease before irreparable damage is done.
