CDC data show low prediabetes awareness among Americans

A CDC report says 11% of the approximately 79 million Americans with prediabetes are aware they have the condition, which can be prevented or delayed through lifestyle changes. Dr. Joel Zonszein of the Clinical Diabetes Center at Montefiore Medical Center said a healthy diet and exercise can reduce the risk of diabetes by about 58%.
