Federal benefits program emphasizes drug costs, wellness

The Federal Employees Health Benefits Program next year will continue to emphasize cost controls for prescription drugs and the importance of wellness, the Office of Personnel Management said in a letter to participating insurers. The OPM said its data show low member wellness participation rates and it encouraged insurers to "re-examine the scope of their programs, outreach efforts and the level of incentives."
