Obama considers Anthony Foxx for DOT secretary, sources say

President Barack Obama is considering Anthony Foxx, the mayor of Charlotte, N.C., for the post of transportation secretary, sources say. During his tenure as mayor since 2009, Foxx has supported street-car and light-rail projects for the city. According to the sources, Obama is also considering Deborah Hersman, the head of the National Transportation Safety Board, for the position.
