Revoke funding to stop unaffordable Medicaid expansion

Stopping federal funding for the expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act would eliminate the temptation for states to extend eligibility beyond what they or the country can afford, writes Kim R. Holmes, a fellow at the Heritage Foundation and former assistant secretary of state. Medicaid expansion will make states more dependent on the federal government and lead to buyer's remorse for taxpayers, Holmes writes.
