Republicans hope discount cards will relieve Medicare "albatross"

While the G.O.P expected a big election-year boost from the passage of the Medicare bill, allegations over political arm-twisting and undisclosed costs are making seniors skeptical about the bill's benefits. Still, Republicans are hoping public opinion on the bill will change once drug discount cards become available in June.
