Some teachers say virtual dissections no substitute for real thing

At least eight states now allow students to opt out of dissections involving real animals. While more schools are using simulated computer models to replicate the dissection experience, biology teacher Wayne Carley says models cannot fully demonstrate the interconnectedness and workings of an organism's system.
