Opinion: Media frenzy over cruise safety is unwarranted

While tragedies and crimes aboard cruise ships do occur, their number are minuscule and does not warrant the sensational media coverage the topic has recently received, writes James Shillinglaw, CTC. He says that to reassure the public, cruise lines need to re-examine their security measures, including ways to keep passengers from drinking too much, and then release some details of their safety efforts.
