Some generic-drug firms might gain after rivals hit with violations

Big generic-drug companies, including Teva Pharmaceutical Industries and Watson Pharmaceuticals, might encounter less competition and better pricing after some of their rivals were cited by the FDA for manufacturing violations, analysts said. Supply problems allow companies with a strong background in quality manufacturing to increase their prices and scale up production, experts said.
