Agricultural pesticide is linked to childhood delays in development

Study data showed the pesticide chlorpyrifos, banned in household products but used as an agricultural pesticide on fruits and vegetables, is linked with physical and mental developmental delays in children. A high level of exposure was associated with a 6.5-point decrease in a 3-year-old's Psychomotor Development Index score and a 3.3-point decrease in the Mental Development Index.
