Alabama lawmaker to introduce simplified bingo bill

State Sen. Roger Bedford plans to introduce a revised bingo bill to the Alabama Legislature before lawmakers adjourn in less than two weeks. Bedford shortened the constitutional amendment from 43 pages to eight after complaints that the bill was too complicated. The bill would explicitly allow electronic bingo in the state and would allow the state to collect taxes on proceeds.
