Swiss watchmaker De Bethune has gained a reputation for innovation by rethinking the basic tenets of watchmaking. Rather than simply making existing processes more complex, the company aims to revisit and rethink old methods, combining traditional expertise with a willingness to test and invest in new materials and forms. "No other brand has committed themselves to more groundbreaking innovation regarding basic chronometry and functional innovation," says one industry expert.
