Emdeon aims to expand payor services with planned acquisition

Emdeon is looking to buy Healthcare Technology Management Services "to complement our leading revenue and payment cycle management solutions with consulting services to the health care payor market," according to the company's CEO. The acquisition is expected to bolster Emdeon's services offered to payors, including technologies to assist them with adopting ICD-10 codes and HIPAA 5010 transactions.
