German language learning is focus of Pennsylvania celebration

More than 400 students from 17 schools participated in a recent German Day competition and celebration, and they spoke only German during the event, which featured a quiz bowl and poetry reading. "It's just a lot of fun, and they learn from this," one German teacher said. "The kids know they aren't alone studying German."
