PepsiCo alters salt crystal size and shape for sodium reduction

PepsiCo has created a salt with an altered crystal size and shape, aimed at reducing the amount of sodium in its products without harming taste. The salt, which is being tested with consumers, will be used to cut sodium levels 25% on Lay's Classic potato chips and could be used in other products.
