On Twitter, size isn't everything

Having a million Twitter followers doesn't necessarily say much about your influence, according to a report. After examining the accounts of almost 55 million active tweeters, researchers found that people with high follower counts aren't always more likely to have their content re-tweeted or to be mentioned by other users. The researchers found the users with multiple areas of expertise tended to be more influential than users with a single specialty.
