UAE's Abu Dhabi uses American LPG for new gas network

Despite itself being a major exporter of natural gas, the United Arab Emirates state of Abu Dhabi has opted to import American liquefied petroleum gas to fuel its municipal gas network. The emirate will mix U.S.-made LPG with air to produce synthetic natural gas, which can be sent through municipal pipelines and used for cooking and heating.
