Law firms must adapt to promote growth

Demand for legal services is no longer strong enough to fuel expansion of law firms, writes James Bailey. Firms must respond by adopting more efficient and cost-effective business models and do a better job at managing their talent, Bailey writes. Firms should consider alternative billing methods and may want to look at merging with other firms to serve a wider variety of clients, he argues.
