Construction of Kan. factory could be delayed if PTC expires

Tindall may postpone construction of a wind turbine-component factory in Newton, Kan., if Congress allows the renewable-energy Production Tax Credit to expire at the end of the year. The company is still interested in building the plant, which would make concrete bases for wind turbines, but the uncertainty over the tax incentive is making it difficult to follow through on the project, said Chris Palumbo, Tindall's vice president of business development. "There's been [a] huge investment made, and it's a shame that the U.S. can't get its act together," Palumbo said.
