Officials at a Texas school district, where students and staff frequently use technology, say they have found an easy way to ensure the security of mobile devices. Students and staff have access to public Wi-Fi on campus. The devices are never connected to an internal school network, and teachers are responsible for downloading new material to school-issued mobile devices. When students leave campus, the devices no longer connect to the public Wi-Fi and instead are switched to the Verizon network.
