Kosher offerings get upscale, innovative makeover

Chefs and food-makers are elevating kosher food, with new products including Red Velvet Macaroons from Manischewitz, matzo-based granola called Matzolah, and beef kielbasa from Newark's Real Kosher. "The demand for thoughtful, seasonal, progressive food is very high right now in the kosher world, and the bar is constantly being raised," said Moshe Wendel of Pardes kosher restaurant in Brooklyn.
