Gaining varied experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors of higher education is the subject of this commentary by Trenda Boyum-Breen, chief academic officer of Rasmussen College, in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn. For-profit institutions can offer administrators skills they can bring back into the nonprofit world, Boyum-Breen writes.
