Telecom bill gains broad support in Mexico's lower house

The lower house of the Mexican Congress has voted 414-50 to approve legislation to boost telecommunication competition by increasing foreign investment and allowing regulators to curb companies with more than 50% market share. Lawmakers have yet to vote on amendments.
