Unemployment rates still high for young veterans

Even though veterans' unemployment rates are beginning to decrease, for younger former military personnel they remain higher than the rate for the civilian workforce. The unemployment rate for veterans between 18 and 24 years old averaged 20.4% during 2012, 5 points higher than the rate for non-veterans in the same age group.
