Little Rock schools' historic desegregation suit nearing end

Little Rock, Ark., schools are moving closer to the end of federal court supervision imposed as part of a desegregation lawsuit filed nearly 50 years ago. Within weeks, the court is expected to approve the school system's plan for monitoring black pupils' achievement, the last remaining component of the suit.
