Moderate drinking may benefit hypertensive men

Men with high blood pressure may benefit from moderate alcohol consumption (one to two drinks per day), a new study finds. The finding contradicts long-standing medical opinion that hypertensive patients should avoid alcohol consumption. Researchers believe alcohol may have anti-clotting properties, and may help to boost good cholesterol.
