Sodium lurks in some surprising places

New guidelines have lowered the recommended daily sodium intake to just 1,500 milligrams for most adults, or less than the amount one would consume in the average TV dinner. Keeping sodium intake to that level requires careful attention to labels on foods not normally associated with high levels of salt. Prepared chocolate milk, for instance, contains 220 milligrams of sodium in each serving.
