Combination system solves towers' heating headache

Engineers resolved a major rooftop hot water heater and boiler problem for the 22-story Lincoln Towers, in Arlington, Va., by relocating the plants to the complex's underground parking garage. Working in a tight space, the engineers opted for a combination system to support both space heating and hot water requirements.
