Pessimism intensifies among Japanese manufacturers

As Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso works on a stimulus twice as big as the $104 billion package already approved, confidence among the nation's manufacturers has been plummeting, by the most in the past five years. A survey by the Cabinet Office and Finance Ministry found that the decline between this quarter last quarter is the sharpest change since the survey was first conducted in 2004.
