Small companies could benefit from stimulus funding for health IT

Small businesses that offer platforms for electronic medical records stand to make significant gains from the $787 billion economic-recovery plan, which allocates about $20 billion for initiatives involving health information technology. Among those firms is eClinicalWorks, which has increased the number of workers it plans to hire over the next few years from 150 to 500, following the approval of the stimulus package.
