Yogurt with urease antibodies may ward off gastritis

A new yogurt that contains urease antibodies may prevent gastritis and stomach ulcers by preventing H. pylori from binding to stomach walls, according to Japanese researchers. Patients who tested positive for H. pylori and ate the yogurt for a month had a significant reduction in urea levels compared with patients who did not have the yogurt.
