Geithner plans to outline structural change for Fannie, Freddie

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is set to discuss the future of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac before a congressional panel. Geithner plans to tell the committee that the structure of the mortgage giants must change. "The housing-finance system cannot continue to operate as it has in the past," according to Geithner's prepared testimony. The Obama administration will discuss principles for the mortgage market.
