More young physicians choose family practice residency

Data from the National Residency Match Program showed 101 more medical school grads chose family medicine residency training programs in 2010 than in 2009. The fill rate for family medicine residency slots hit a record 91.4% suggesting an upswing in interest in family practice, which has a shortage of physicians.
