New GA security rules expected to focus on larger jets

The Transportation Security Administration plans to scale back its Large Aircraft Security Program after listening to feedback from the general aviation community. The TSA plans to exempt aircraft smaller than mid-size jets from the LASP, which originally was designed for all jets over 12,500 lbs. in takeoff weight.
