Sprint, Motorola introduce phone with Android, iDEN features

Sprint Nextel and Motorola will release a push-to-talk device, the Motorola i1, aimed at merging the best features of iDen devices and Android-powered smartphones, the companies said Monday. The handset, expected to be shipped this summer, will offer a number of features not previously found in iDen phones while providing their rugged casing. Sprint will also add a new cloud-based speech-to-text application from Yap that Microsoft developed for the carrier's BlackBerry handsets.
