University of Nebraska expands research on algae-based biofuels

The University of Nebraska at Lincoln is converting a greenhouse complex at the school into a research center for developing algae-based biofuels. UNL, which received a Department of Energy grant worth $1.9 million, is partnering with groups including Sapphire Energy for its research.
