Addressing the gender imbalance in early-stage investment

Women have access to the majority of wealth in the U.S., but they account for a small percentage of investments in startups, notes Lauren Flanagan of Belle Capital. Only about 13% of angel investors and 11% of venture capitalists are women, Rhonda Abrams notes. Women such as Flanagan are starting investment groups to address the disparity.
