Loyalty cards save money -- but at what price?

Grocery chains argue that customer loyalty cards help them identify trends in consumer shopping and what products are most popular. Critics charge, however, that the cards are an invasion of privacy, and stores like CVS, Food Lion, Stop & Shop and Winn-Dixie use the information to sell information to other parties.
