Thriftway may leave Cincinnati area

Winn-Dixie's Thriftway chain, a leading grocery presence in Greater Cincinnati, could leave the market, some industry analysts say. Market leaders Kroger and Bigg's may look to acquire some Thriftway stores, and Wal-Mart is opening at least four Supercenters in the area. Thriftway has lost more than half of its market share in the past five years.
