Faced with a significant slide in federal infrastructure spending since 1987, a bipartisan coalition of governors is calling on both Democratic and Republican platform committees to address the issue at their national conventions this summer. "This is a big national problem that affects our economy and endangers our communities," said California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a leader of the coalition known as Building America's Future. "We want every governor, mayor, local official to join us and send a message to Washington they can't ignore."
