Data-exchange program in Montana aimed at boosting biosurveillance

Montana is implementing a pilot project aimed at enabling information sharing among health care groups to detect pathogens in their pre-epidemic state. The program is powered by Crossflo Systems' DataExchange Server application, which uses HP's Integrity NonStop technologies. The initiative will allow Montana to identify outbreaks that could be linked to bioterrorism as well as enable facilities to exchange patient records and disease-tracking data.
