Hotels experiment with new lobby concepts

Hotels increasingly are adding automated kiosks to lobbies to allow travelers to confirm reservations, and many are watching to see how Hyatt's hip new Andaz brand will fare with its concept that forgoes the front desk altogether. As guests check in, they are seated in the lobby and a hotel "host" uses a hand-held device to confirm the reservation, swipe the guest's credit card and activate their guest-room keys.
