Moody's cuts ratings on billions of CMBS assets

Moody's Investors Service has downgraded 496 CMBS tranches with a combined value of $15.5 billion, after completing a review of transactions originally rated between 1997 and 2008. The ratings agency left the ratings of 358 tranches with a $30.4 billion aggregate balance unchanged and raised the rating of three tranches with a total value of $48.9 million.
